Cookie Policy

This policy explains how the Engagerly website (engagerly.bot) and dashboard use cookies and similar technologies such as local storage, and how you can control them. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

Last updatedOctober 3, 2026

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. Similar technologies, such as browser local storage, let a site remember information in your browser. Some are essential for a site to work, while others, such as analytics cookies, are optional and need your consent.

2. Essential storage

We use a small amount of essential storage that does not need consent:

  • engagerly-consent (website, local storage): remembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics cookies, so we don't ask again on every visit. It is kept until you clear your browser's site data.
  • Dashboard sign-in (dashboard, local storage): keeps you signed in after you log in with Discord, until you sign out or your session expires.
  • Dashboard preferences (dashboard, local and session storage): remembers interface choices such as list or card view, dismissed notices and setup progress.

3. Analytics cookies

On our website we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site, such as which pages are visited and which buttons are clicked, so we can improve it. The Google Analytics script is not loaded at all until you click Accept in the cookie banner. Advertising storage, ad personalisation and ad user data are always off.

If you accept, Google Analytics sets cookies named _ga and _ga_ followed by an ID, which distinguish visitors and sessions and normally last up to 2 years. If you reject or have not made a choice, Google Analytics is not loaded and no analytics data is sent to Google. You can change your choice at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page.

Links from Engagerly messages in Discord may include your server ID and Discord user ID in the web address. We remove the user ID before any analytics data is sent. The dashboard does not use analytics cookies.

4. Third-party services

Some third-party services we use may receive technical information such as your IP address, or set their own cookies when you use them:

  • Stripe: when you pay by card you are taken to Stripe's checkout, which uses its own cookies for payments and fraud prevention under Stripe's privacy and cookie policies.
  • Discord: when you sign in or add the bot, you use Discord's own pages, which are governed by Discord's policies.
  • Cloudflare: images and files are delivered through Cloudflare, which may process technical data to deliver and protect content.

5. Your choices

You can accept or reject analytics cookies in the banner when you first visit our website. To change your choice later, clear this site's data (cookies and local storage) in your browser settings, and the banner will appear again on your next visit.

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or use Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Blocking essential storage may stop parts of the dashboard, such as staying signed in, from working.

6. Changes and contact

We may update this policy if we change the cookies or similar technologies we use. We will post the updated version on this page and change the "Last updated" date.
